I'm Nikki, a creative old soul who loves tea time, tip-toeing through gardens, mounds of books, swaying to records, watercolors, sunset walks with our three yorkies, and star-gazing with Paul. This blog carries snippets of my life with just us two (five with Rusty, Lucy, & Ethel) - I hope it brings you happiness as you snuggle in with something warm and delicious and begin reading. Enjoy, friends!

my

I began blogging in 2012 when I started my wedding photography business. For six years, I blogged about the weddings I photographed and little snippets of life as a photographer. In 2018, I, along with my husband Paul, officially stepped away from wedding photography.

Within the years spent as a photographer, I decided to go after another dream, one I had since childhood. I finally bought my first set of brushes and watercolors in 2014 and it was love at first 'swish'. I began creating art for the home and accidentally found a love for creating calendars (you can visit my shop here) and learning to draw/paint digitally.

This blog has gone from being about photography and weddings to a lifestyle blog filled with life’s little romantic moments, illustrations, gardening…snippets of happiness, really. Each time you read this blog, I hope for you to leave happier, more at peace, with a little inspiration under your belt, and ready to take on the day. Enjoy perusing the blog and feel free to say hi – I love finding new kindred spirits. :) xoxo
