John & Leah | A Magical, Winter Wedding

Big fluffy snowflakes, mink stoles, red lipstick, winter boots, twinkling lights…everything a winter wedding in Minnesota should have. John and Leah are two of the most genunine people I’ve ever met in this industry. Their day wasn’t about the wedding, it was about them finally being married after a 10-year journey. I love weddings that feel more connected about the actual marriage than the wedding itself. Often times it’s easy to be distracted by the stress of decor, or dresses, or food, or any little thing that can go wrong at a wedding, and it’s refreshing to see two people just being happy to be together, promising in front of family and close friends to be best friends forever. I love seeing that connection with my brides and grooms and John and Leah are no exception. They’ve been through it all – ups and downs – over the past 10 years and I couldn’t be more thrilled that their day finally came, complete with the biggest and dreamiest snowflakes. :) Leah was stunning, John was handsome, and the twinkle lights in Rice Park St. Paul added that extra magic every couple deserves on their wedding day. I love this wedding and how perfectly, romantically, winter it was.

John & Leah, congratulations a thousand times from the bottom of my heart!! I am so happy for you and cannot wait to see what your future holds! I hope you’re enjoying Florida and hopefully you’re able to relive your wedding day on the sun-soaked beaches. :) xoxoxo

PS. As you might know, Paul wasn’t able to shoot this wedding with me because of his leg, so thankfully I had the help of Meg Cooper Photography and as always, it was a blast working with her. :) Thanks Meg!!! :) :)

They got ready in the gorgeous St. Paul Hotel, which to my happiness, was still decorated for Christmas!!

Ahh!! Love that lipstick!

Their reception was held at the Landmark Center later that evening.

Ah! The Christmas decor! Love!

So studly, John. :)

Love these two of them!

First Look outside the hotel (such a smart girl bringing boots :)).

Love this angle from Meg!

:) :)

Awww love this!

Meg’s idea of going under the overpass outside the James J. Hill Library was brilliant. The cream color with the red lipstick & blue suit – ahh!

That parasol might be one of my favorite investments. :)

Such models. :)

Gorgeous, Leah!!

Ahhh!! Favorite!

Seriously! Look at that snow!!

Isn’t it dreamy?!

Love the shots of the guys from Meg!

And we lucked out and the church was also still decorated for Christmas!!

Just married!!!

They wanted to try some night time photos in Rice Park and although it’s tricky and I was super nervous, I love how these turned out!

My goodness. I’m in love.

So much gold – I love gold.

Loved all the table centerpieces, especially with the pine cones. :) Can you tell I enjoy winter?! :)

Yes!! Chef Jeff catered this wedding and it was, as usual, amazing.

Love this one from Meg. :)

My goodness. Possibly one of my most favorite first dance photos.

Hahaha I love everyone’s dance moves!!

Congratulations again, John & Leah!! I hope you enjoyed your sneaky peek!! :) xoxoxo
